Volunteer at a Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry

Join our mission to create pathways to nutritious food. Be a part of the Mobile Pantry Corps to distribute food to communities in Erie, Huron, Lorain and Crawford Counties.

Volunteer Assignments for Drive Thru Mobile Pantry:

  • Assist with registering community members on PantryTrak before they receive food.
  • Set up stations with pallets, tables, and food.
  • Open and detrash cases of product. Restock stations to ensure the flow of the line.
  • Break down cardboard and clean up plastic during and after the mobile pantry.
  • Pre-bag food items on a needed basis.
  • Loading trunks of vehicles with food.
  • Directing vehicles during mobile pantry.
  • Assist with clean-up.
  • Volunteer assignments for mobile pantry:

  • Handout food items by correct quantity to community members.
  • Assist with carrying groceries out to vehicles.
  • Bring back wagons from outside after use of community members.
  • Assist with clean-up.

Requirements for Volunteering:

  • Able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Willingness to work outside during inclement weather (not including storms)
  • Civil Rights Training
  • Must practice food and personal safety practices
  • Training on PantryTrak
  • Report 1 hour before the beginning time of the Mobile Pantry. Must stay for the duration of the mobile pantry (3-4 hours for set-up and clean-up)
  • 1-week notice of cancellation
  • Demonstrate kindness and respect to community members and other volunteers



Must be 16 years or older (Under 18 must have an adult present).
