Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio (hereinafter Second Harvest) shares your concerns about privacy in all of our communications, via email, mail and on the Internet.  To better protect your privacy, Second Harvest has provided this notice explaining its information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used on the Site. Furthermore, this Privacy Policy, being part of the Terms, works in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions of Use, but does not modify or supersede it. On occasion, Second Harvest may run promotions or conduct other activities with affiliate partners from this Site. In such events, we may post additional privacy terms in conjunction with such promotion or activities that modify and/or supplement this Privacy Policy and govern the use of information related to or received through such promotions or activities. This policy also applies when you use social media that overlaps Second Harvest’s social media and/or website, as well as to personal information we collect offline.

 

This website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. The security measures used on this site include but are not limited to, industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, firewalls, and internal policies to maintain the security of stored data. Second Harvest has implemented security measures to help protect against the risk of loss, misuse and alteration of any information under Second Harvest's control. Nevertheless, such security measures may not prevent all loss, misuse or alteration of information on the site, and Second Harvest is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to any such security failures. We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.


This policy applies to all information received by Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio, both online and offline, on any Platform ("Platform", includes the Second Harvest website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.


Second Harvest uses third-party vendors to provide services on this website and in offline business operations. The information that you submit on this website may be provided to those vendors on a confidential basis so that those vendors can provide services (such as maintaining our database, sending email messages, facilitating fundraising activities, or processing credit card transactions) on our behalf. Second Harvest will only request specific information from you in order to complete a transaction. 


There is limited staff access with password protection for donor information held by the organization.
