Second Harvest Leader Earns Recognition

Julie Chase-Morefield, Presdient & CEO of Second Harvest received the Nonprofit Executive Director of the Year award at the 2019 Medical Mutual Pillar Awards for Community Service banquet at LaCentre Conference & Banquet Facility and in a special editorial report in the December edition of Smart Business Cleveland and Akron.

Leading the organization for the past 14 years, Julie has grown the organization into the largest hunger-relief organization in North Central Ohio and the fourth largest nonprofit in Lorain County.
Her guidance over the development of education and programming around healthy, nutritious food options has spawned the successful Produce Pantry initiative, the School Pantry Program and the Senior Box distribution success.

Her dedicated and passionate influence has a significant impact on the lives of 80,000 people each year who depend on Second Harvest's services.
