A Note from Julie

The reality of food insecurity is present in every neighborhood that we serve. Last spring, we participated in a statewide survey of our community members who visited our food pantries. Promoting accurate accounts from the people in our lines is something Second Harvest continuously strives to achieve. On the next page, we share some of their insights. The people we serve are at the center of everything we do, and this valuable feedback helped to solidify our vision moving forward.

Today: Address immediate food needs and ensure no one goes hungry

Tomorrow: Empower neighbors towards long-term food stability

Future: Champion sustainable food systems for each community

We will take many paths to accomplish these lofty goals. Harvest For Hunger is one way we ensure no one goes hungry today. This campaign provides ONE-THIRD of the food we distribute throughout the year. Your support allows us to continue providing food and serving an increasing number of neighbors seeking food. During these uncertain times, our community is turning to us for help and hope. By supporting Second Harvest and sharing our vision, YOU can be a part of creating a brighter future for all.
